I had also talked to tutors about various techniques which also came to my final outcome. This was advice on using different shades of the same colour, wiping away paint and making the canvas come through the paint by leaving parts bare or with very thin oil paint on top.

research on peoples experiences: question being would they open up to me and talk about it?

My concept has got a part of it where the viewers experience is important and when i was creating work I was constantly asking for feedback on what they thought whether that was family, friends or peers. We had a project space where we put up our work and our peers had to leave post it notes on what they thought it was about and the materials used.
